CHARLOTTE — A large police investigation was underway early Wednesday in east Charlotte.
Around 5 a.m., officers were called to a home on The Plaza near Eastway Drive. Channel 9 crews on the scene could see multiple Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers roping off the area.

CMPD has not released any other information about the investigation.
One lane of The Plaza was closed but traffic was still getting through.
