Lincoln Co. investigators arrest 3 suspects on drug charges

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — On Monday, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Investigators arrested three suspects on drug charges.

Investigators were conducting a surveillance operation on a suspicious vehicle parked behind the Cinema Theater on North Aspen Street in Lincolnton when investigators witnessed a hand-to-hand transaction between two vehicles.

Officers arrested Anthony Dewayne Cunningham, 21, of Lincolnton and charged him with felony possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling vehicle for a controlled substance.

Investigators seized $1,800 in cash and two pounds of marijuana.

Cunningham is at the Crouse Detention Center Tuesday under a $7,000 secured bond.

Officers arrested David Rowe III, 37, after seizing a felony amount of hydro-marijuana from his home on King Wilkinson Road. Rowe was taken before a Lincoln County magistrate and placed under a $7,500 secured bond.

On Monday night around 10 p.m. investigators arrested Phillip Lawrence Byers, 42, of Gastonia, after observing a hand-to-hand transaction. Officers seized 24 grams of crack cocaine as well as $1,500. Byer was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
