Lincolnton traffic stop turns into major drug bust

LINCOLNTON, N.C. — A minor traffic stop led to a major drug bust in Lincolnton Saturday.

A deputy pulled over a car on Highway 321 because he couldn't see the driver wearing a seat belt.

Inside the trunk, deputies found this what appears to be 81 clear plastic packages containing marijuana extract and 60 packages of marijuana-infused chocolate bars and brownies.

Deputies charged the driver, 34-year-old Sean Kenna from Swannanoa, with felony drug charges.
