CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three Charlotte breweries walked away with medals at the 2018 U.S. Open Beer Championship.
The DreamChaser’s Brewery in Waxhaw brought home multiple awards — for the second consecutive year.
Sugar Creek Brewing Co. and Twenty-Six Acres Brewing Co. also snagged awards.
This year, judges evaluated more than 6,300 beers representing 100 different styles. Entries represented professional breweries and award-winning home brewers from around the globe.
In total, 14 North Carolina breweries took home medals.
