A social justice group talked Thursday night about ways to make sure Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools students are treated equally, regardless of the color of their skin.

A recent study found that boys who are black are suspended nearly 10 times more than boys who are white.
A state report released in March showed that CMS suspended 10,311 boys who are black compared to 1,203 boys who are white.
