Tuesday morning, more than 50 Lowe's associates will head to some of the hardest hit areas to help with recovery efforts.

One of the areas includes Wilmington where thousands of Duke Energy customers are still without power and major roadways are flooded.

The Lowe's associates will also go to Fayetteville and Florence, South Carolina.

The associates from the Charlotte area will take over for colleagues working in areas impacted by Florence so they have a chance to focus on their families.

They will also provide additional support to customers trying to rebuild.

In all, about 400 associates from the Carolinas will head to impacted areas.
