According to Mecklenburg County real estate records, Publican Properties of Charlotte LLC bought the 8,940-square-foot brick building at 2326 Distribution St. from Grier Interiors for $2.2 million. The deal closed on Aug. 27.

The 1960s-era building is split into two units, one used by Grier Interiors as a furniture showroom and warehouse. Grier Interiors will lease the back unit, about 4,500 square feet, while the new owner plans to convert the rest of the building into a bar and restaurant concept, according to Avison Young, which brokered the deal for the seller.
