Man accused of exposing himself to 10-year-old girl

A man is behind bars after being accused of exposing himself to a 10-year-old girl in Gastonia.

Francisca Vasquez carefully watches her daughter and her friends as they play outside and she watches the apartment just across Hartford Drive.

Ten-year-old Liliana said the man who lives there repeatedly exposed himself to her.

Francisca said two weeks ago her daughter and her 10-year-old neighbor were playing when Osbaldo Espinosa came outside completely naked and touched himself.

“You can’t do that in front of little kids. That’s inappropriate,” said neighbor Arhat Roque.

The children told their parents, but they said Espinosa had already gone back inside and the story seemed unbelievable to the parents.

Then Liliana said it happened again.

“He looks about the blinds and sees if I'm by myself or not,” Liliana said.

She said when she is alone he comes to his door and exposes himself. She said he did it several times Monday.

Francisca showed Channel 9 how she hid behind a tree to watch her neighbor’s front door.

She looked over and she saw him pull his pants up.

Francisca said it made her sad because she feels he might hurt other kids.

They called police and Espinosa has been charged with two counts of indecent exposure.

He was given a $75,000 bond.

Officials said when they arrested Espinosa he gave them a fake name and fake birth date.

They have to go through immigrations to get the correct information. Officials are still checking to see if he has a criminal record.
