Arrest made after men robbed, one hit with gun at Charlotte hotel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was arrested in connection with an armed robbery and assault at the Greenleafe Inn in Charlotte Monday night, police said.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they arrested 19-year-old Keontez Dae'Sheaun Wadsworth and charged him with armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery and one count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Authorities said they were called to the hotel on Monroe Road around 9:48 p.m., where one of the men was struck with a gun and robbed in a room.

No other suspects were involved in the crime, according to officials.
