CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they arrested a man on suspicion of two armed robberies Wednesday afternoon.
Police said Marquez Alston and another person robbed someone around 4 p.m. on Yateswood Drive in east Charlotte.

About 30 minutes later, they robbed another person on Sherrington Way.
Investigators say both victims were working on their cars when they were robbed.
Police haven’t released details about the second suspect.
