CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night on East. W.T. Harris Boulevard, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

Police said Michael Putnam, 30, walked in front of a Dodge car at about 8:30 p.m. in the middle of the road near Hickory Grove Road.
The driver of the Dodge stopped at the scene and was not injured.
Putnam was taken to a hospital and died the following day.
Putnam was wearing dark clothes and was not in a crosswalk, police said.
No charges were filed.
