CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man has died days after he was hit by a car Thursday night in north Charlotte, police said.
Emery Springs, 27, died Sunday at Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center after being hit around 8 p.m. Thursday on Valeview Lane near Misty Wood Drive.
After investigating the scene, officials determined the car was traveling north when it struck Springs, who was walking in the road.
Police said it was raining that night and that the road did not have streetlights where the crash happened.
A woman was walking with the victim, but she was not hurt, according to authorities.
The driver has not been charged for the crash.
No other details have been released.
