Man flown to hospital after drive-by shooting in Pageland, police say

PAGELAND, S.C. — Police are investigating after a man was shot in a drive-by shooting Sunday night in Pageland.

Officers said a man was walking on West Elizabeth Street off North Pearl Street around 7:30 p.m. when someone shot him.

He was flown to Carolinas Medical Center Sunday, but he was later released and is expected to be OK.

Police said they think they have the shooter's car. Officers found it abandoned on West Sewell Street, but they have not caught the shooter.

Authorities have not said what led to the shooting and have not released any suspect information.
