YORK COUNTY, S.C. — A judge in York County sentenced Steven Tyler Benfield to 15 years behind bars in the death of 30-year-old Jessica Stewart in 2015.

Andrew Pitman was heartbroken by the plea agreement in his sister’s murder between prosecutors and Benfield.
“I’ve lost all faith in our justice system at this point,” Pitman said.
