Manufacturers adding jobs, investment in Lincoln County

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two eastern Lincoln County manufacturers plan to expand, adding a total of $32.5 million in investment and more than 20 jobs.

Blum Inc. will spend $22.5 million and add an unspecified number of jobs at its huge cabinet hardware plant near Denver.

The company’s approximately 400-employee building will get two additions totaling 72,000 square feet. In exchange for the investment, the company gets $466,700 in Lincoln County incentives.

Just up the road at Airlie Industrial Park, Husky Rack & Wire expects to spend $10 million and add about 20 jobs as it adds equipment and makes changes to the building.

Husky Rack makes wire security enclosures and machine guards at 6146 Denver Industrial Park Road, also near Denver. It employs about 200 at the facility.

Husky Rack gets about $211,000 in county incentives for the jobs and investment.
