MATTHEWS, N.C. — Mayor Paul Bailey will be challenging by Mayor Pro Tem John Higdon in November for the mayor of Matthews.
Three candidates ran against each other Tuesday night in the primary election. The top two vote-getters will be on the ballot for the General Election.

Newcomer Jason Majewski did not make the cut.
