Mecklenburg’s priciest home sales in October include lakefront properties

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Lakefront real estate proved a popular choice for luxury home purchases in Mecklenburg County last month.

Cornelius, in particular, was a big draw, with four of the 10 most expensive home sales within the county originating in that Lake Norman community.

In fact, the county’s overall priciest residential transaction in October, with a price tag of $5.25 million, set a record for that town 20 miles north of Charlotte. That estate on Belle Isle Drive boasts nearly 400 feet of shoreline on Lake Norman with a private beach and covered boat dock.

Elsewhere in Cornelius, a home on Lagoona Drive sold for $3.04 million, a residence on John Connor Road sold for $2.85 million, and another on Bethelwood Lane sold for $2.6 million.
