Charlotte-based Flagship Healthcare Properties received rezoning approval to build a six-story, 117,000-square-foot medical office building at Randolph Road and North Colonial Avenue, in the Elizabeth neighborhood. OrthoCarolina, which currently operates an urgent care center on the property, is expected to occupy space in the building.

Flagship’s approved rezoning permits both general and medical office uses, including surgery centers and medical clinics.

Northwood Ravin’s plans to develop up to 330 apartments in a tower up to 285 feet high — about 22 stories — on an undeveloped parcel on the south side of the mixed-use Metropolitan development were approved in a 10-1 vote.
