Military life central to success for Charlotte-area entrepreneurs

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Every year, about 116,500 businesses are started in the U.S. by newly discharged soldiers, sailors and Marines. They come into the business world with all the discipline and leadership skills that a military career fosters.

The Charlotte Business Journal talked with three veterans who own local businesses about the transition from military life and how they built their companies on the principles they learned in the armed services.
