Missing 64-year-old woman last seen in Gaston County

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday for Gloria Jean Harper, who may be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

The 64-year-old woman is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 350 pounds.

She has long gray hair and blue eyes and was wearing a light-blue or gray short sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

Authorities said Harper was last seen on Belmont Mount Holly Road at Interstate 85 Exit 26 traveling south toward North Main Street in Belmont, authorities said.

Harper is driving a red 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo SS with a North Carolina license plate -- SYT-9350.

There is a “Coal Miner’s Daughter” tag in the front.
