Mold found at City Hall in Bessemer City

BESSEMER CITY, NC — Bessemer City officials say the customer service and finance services will be temporarily moved out of City Hall after the discovery of mold caused by a faulty air conditioning system.

An increase in moisture caused elevated levels of Alternaria and Cladosporium. Officials say the mold is not toxic, but can affect people with autoimmune deficiencies.
