More local volunteers head to help after Hurricane Sandy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Another five Red Cross volunteers left Charlotte on Saturday to help Hurricane Sandy survivors.

Volunteers from Union and Rowan counties will be joining dozen from the area who are helping in New York.

Members of the group said part of the reason they are going is to relive other volunteers who have been working for several days.
