PINEVILLE, N.C. — Hundreds of residents in Pineville woke up Wednesday morning without power.
Duke Energy's website showed about 800 customers without power around 7 a.m. in the area between Pineville-Matthews Road and Carmel Road.

Officials with Duke Energy said the outage was caused by a problem with one of their lines.
They have crews working on it but estimated restoration to happen around 2 p.m.
