Mother afraid after house riddled with bullets in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A North Charlotte mom is scared to sleep in her own home after her house was sprayed with bullets.

The mother told Channel 9 crews that it happened in broad daylight Sunday on Hemby Woods Drive while her child was asleep inside their home. The bullets broke through the windows of her and her mother's car.

The woman, who didn't want to be identified, also said that she could not sleep last night knowing someone did this to her.

"I don't know who would want to do something like this, especially people who do know me know I have a child and they know that's my car," said the woman.

The woman said she wants police to catch those responsible before anyone gets hurt.
