• Troopers: Motorcyclist dies after hitting turkey in Chester Co.

    CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. - Troopers said a motorcyclist in Chester County died at about 6:15 p.m. Monday after hitting a turkey and veering off the road.
     
    They said the rider was not wearing a helmet when he ran off Leeds Road near Breeland Drive when he crashed into a tree.
     
    Troopers said he was from Carlisle, South Carolina, but haven't released his name.
