'Happy Gilmore' star blows .15 during Wilmington DWI stop

WILMINGTON, N.C. — A Hollywood star was arrested for DWI in Wilmington early Wednesday morning, according to deputies at the New Hanover County Jail, WWAY reported.

"Happy Gilmore" star, Christopher McDonald blew a .15, nearly twice the legal limit of .08, on a breath test after being pulled over on 3rd Street.

Deputies say he was booked in the jail around 4:30 a.m. under a $1,000 unsecured bond.

McDonald is due in court on Dec. 11.

McDonald played the character of Shooter McGavin in the 1996 movie "Happy Gilmore."
