N. Tryon closed after truck strikes bridge near uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have closed an intersection just northeast of uptown Monday morning after a large truck ran into the bridge near the intersection.

Police had North Tryon Street closed at 16th Street just after 9 a.m. in both directions after officers said the truck struck the bottom of a bridge above the road.
