Rea Road reopens after natural gas line rupture

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A section of Rea Road reopened around 5 p.m. Tuesday after a natural gas line rupture.

The Charlotte Fire Department said crews got the leak under control in about 25 minutes. No injuries were reported.

The leak was reported around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Colony and Rea roads.
