NCDOT to close 2 lanes on I-485 for road repairs

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close two lanes on the I-485 Inner Loop between South Boulevard (Exit 65) and Interstate 77 (Exit 67) from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday for pavement repairs.

The left lane will remain open for motorists while crews fix potholes that formed during last week's snowstorm.

This section of the interstate is part of the I-485 widening project to add one lane in each direction between I-77 and Rea Road.

Because construction is ongoing, the contractor will take care of the necessary repairs.
