Source: Neighborhood street blocked as homicide suspect arrested

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Dozens of law enforcement officials could be seen in a southeast Charlotte neighborhood Thursday morning in reference to the apprehension of a homicide suspect, sources told Channel 9.

The heavy police presence was evident on Old House Circle, off Margaret Wallace Road.

Channel 9 watched as officers in tactical gear walked up the street to a home where sources said a homicide suspect was taken into custody.

That person’s name has not been released and police have not said which homicide case it was in relation to.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police would only say their Violent Criminal Apprehension Team found the suspect they were looking for.

Old House Circle was blocked off while authorities collected evidence.
