CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Neighbors said a vacant property in east Charlotte is causing problems in their neighborhood.
Channel 9 went to the property off Independence Boulevard Wednesday and spotted a homeless campground full of tents.
It was once the site of the troubled Charlotte Inn, but residents banded together to get rid of it.

Now, neighbors said they are worried the property is once again causing problems.
"We had an incident where someone suffering from a substance abuse appeared to have overdosed and was passed out in front of our yard and a partner was pulling them in a wagon," neighbor Sarah Hutchins said.
Another neighbor said their Ring doorbell camera captured a man filling up jugs of water from the spigot of their home.
