• New details surrounding SC computer hack


    SOUTH CAROLINA - Sunday, new details have been revealed surrounding South Carolina's computer hack that exposed millions of state records.

    The incident could actually help push forward plans to reform state government by creating a new Department of Administration, the Herald in Rock Hill reports.

    The bill would streamline state government, giving South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley direct control.

    Creation of the new department is expected to increase oversight of state agencies to make sure private information is kept out of the wrong hands.
