CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Mecklenburg County sheriff said he is having issues getting paid.
Sheriff Garry McFadden addressed county commissioners Tuesday night during a public forum.

He said his compensation was 8 cents this week.
“No one has yet to speak to me or talk to me, or discuss my salary since that first day,” McFadden said.
It’s unclear what is causing the compensation issues.
McFadden said he has been working with the county attorney and the North Carolina Sheriff Association’s attorney.
Commissioners were not allowed to ask questions since McFadden addressed them during a public forum.
