New technology could be coming to airport parking deck

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte City Council will vote to approve a contract to implement technology in the new hourly parking deck at Charlotte Douglas Airport on Monday.

The contract allocates $116,000 for access control equipment.

This is part of a larger $3.2 million technology package at the deck.

The entire package will include surveillance cameras, electric car charging stations and an antenna system for cellphones.
