CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A South Dakota hotel brand will break ground on its first location in North Carolina this week.
My Place Hotels kicks off construction on a four-story, 84-room facility in Huntersville with a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday. It anticipates that location at 14725 Statesville Roadwill open next spring.

That’s off the Gilead Road exit on Interstate 77.
“With all of the expansion going on, we thought if we put a really nice hotel there it will be a winner,” says Brad Noble, owner of MP Huntersville, franchisee behind the project.
