MYRTLE BEACH, SC — The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control says it has lifted a swimming advisory for part of Myrtle Beach.
The affected area included 200 feet above and below 77th Avenue North.
DHEC said high bacteria levels was detected in that section of beach, and swimming was not advised until bacteria levels return to normal.
Temporary swimming advisory signs are placed at beaches found to have high levels of bacteria in the water where there is not currently a long-term swimming advisory sign.
