EnergyUnited crews remain ready to restore power as quickly as possible should outages occur as a result of the aftermath of this week’s winter weather.

As of 4 p.m. Thursday, EnergyUnited was showing fewer than 400 outages on the system and very few of the cooperative's 120,000 members experienced power outages on Wednesday and Thursday. For some members who did face outages, restoration efforts were hampered by impassable roadways, which resulted in slightly lengthier restoration times than normal.

Electric cooperative members are asked to call their cooperative directly if they experience a disruption in power. For phone numbers to report outages and the counties served by each co-op, refer to www.ncelectriccooperatives.com/co-ops/coopList.htm.

North Carolina's electric cooperatives serve more than 2.5 million people in 93 of the state's 100 counties.
