Nurse gives mother COVID-19 vaccine, shares words of encouragement

A mother and daughter shared a special bond recently amid the pandemic.

Becky Fox, chief nursing informatics officer with Atrium Health, said that she and her team have worked through the COVID-19 crisis for months and are now helping distribute vaccines to patients.

The nurse administered a COVID-19 vaccine to her mother, an event that was not planned.

“I came through the line and had kind of hoped that she would be the one that would be doing it,” Fox’s mother Jean Guess said.
