Officials: Judge denied bond for suspected ringleader of gun-running scheme

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A New York judge denied bond for the suspected ringleader of a gun-running scheme that spanned from Rock Hill all the way to New York City.

According to the Herald in Rock Hill, police arrested Earl Campbell in August and he has been fighting extradition to New York for more than a month.

He is accused of illegally selling 90 guns during the last year.

Eight other people from Rock Hill have also been charged with smuggling weapons to New York.
