• One Ministries to hold second annual Hope for the Homeless event

    GASTON COUNTY, N.C. - One Ministries will hold its second annual Hope for the Homeless event Saturday as an effort to increase area awareness of Gaston County's homeless population as well as its needs.

    Hope for Homeless is a fundraiser with dinner and dancing. WSOC reporter Ken Lemon is the event's keynote speaker.

    The event coincides with National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week.

    As One's mission is to provide daytime shelter, supportive services, referrals and housing opportunities to assist Gaston County's homeless adults, youth, and families with returning to self-sufficiency.
