GASTONIA, N.C. — Police have charged twin 21-year-old brothers in connection to the shooting and killing of a man inside a car in Gastonia late Tuesday night.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. on East Franklin Boulevard, near the Gray Franklin Express Mart.
Dispatchers told Channel 9 that the 911 call came in as shots fired into a vehicle.
When officers arrived they found 23-year-old Misael Vasquez inside a red Toyota Camry in the parking lot in front of the business.
He was rushed to CaroMont Regional Medical Center where he later died.
Twin brothers, Emani Jaquan Burris and Jamani Dequan Burris, are each charged with felony murder.
Police believe robbery was the motive in the slaying.
