Outbreaks at summer camps raise concerns about school year for some parents

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Parents already have a lot on their minds these days. Now, people are looking at some camp situations, and what can happen when a bunch of children get together.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said the COVID-19 outbreak disproved the idea that children aren’t as vulnerable as adults to catching the virus.

There is a lot of pressure on parents like Rob Wilson as he debates sending his daughter Gabby for in-person learning.

“Are they gonna go to school? Are they gonna do online? Most importantly, I want them to be safe and everybody else to be safe,” Wilson said.
