• Overnight shooting near college campus hospitalizes three


    SALISBURY - Police in Salisbury believe a fight led up to a shooting near Livingstone College early Saturday morning. Three people were sent to the hospital.

    Officers say they found a man bleeding on the porch of a home on Alexander Lane before 1 a.m. They believe he was shot on nearby Grim Street, where two groups of people got into a fight.

    One student who lives nearby says she witnessed the incident. She said the gunfire sounded different each time, and that she took cover when she heard the shots.

    Two of the victims were airlifted to a hospital in Wake Forest. Police are still looking for suspects.
