CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two paintball guns were stolen from the Dick’s Sporting Goods at SouthPark Mall on Thursday morning.
Two people walked in and took the guns, worth more than $300, from a display area and then walked out, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
People have been shooting paintball guns at homes, cars and people.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has responded to 160 calls for service in connection with paintball shootings since January.
