CHARLOTTE — Two of the best-known names in Charlotte’s pro-sports history are about to be added to the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, along with a key local leader at the college level. The 2020 class of inductees was announced Wednesday.
From the annals of major-league professional sports in the Queen City come Muggsy Bogues, a star on the original Charlotte Hornets NBA team in the 1980s and ‘90s, and Carolina Panthers great Julius Peppers. Both men are still involved with the local organizations.

Also on the list of 2020 inductees is Judy Rose, who retired in 2018 as athletics director for UNC Charlotte.
