Parents protest Union Co. school redistricting

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Dozens of parents in Union County showed up Wednesday night to a Wesley Chapel town meeting to fight a school redistricting that would affect thousands of students.

Town leaders in Wesley Chapel issued a resolution asking the school district to consider other options that would work for the school system and parents.

Parents hope school leaders will consider changing their plan.

Dozens of parents have formed committees to explore other options to take to the school board.

The board meets again Thursday night.
