Parsons due in court Monday

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The adoptive parents of a missing Rowan County teen are scheduled to be in court Monday for a custody hearing.

Casey Parsons and Sandy Parsons lost custody of their youngest children after police learned their daughter Erica Parsons disappeared.

Erica Parsons was reported missing in July and no one has seen her in the past two years.

The 15-year-old's disappearance has launched a local and federal investigation.

Just last week Eyewitness News was the only station there as a federal grand jury heard testimony in an information-gathering hearing in Greensboro.

So far there have been no charges filed against Erica Parsons' adoptive parents.

A source close to the investigation told Eyewitness News several of the Parsons' children testified in that grand jury hearing
