Pedestrian struck by CMPD cruiser in south Charlotte, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A CMPD officer’s cruiser struck a pedestrian Tuesday night in the 9500 block of South Boulevard near the I-485/ South Boulevard Station on the light rail, police said.

Anchor Liz Foster was at the scene and saw the pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing, walking and talking. The man is expected to be OK.

The pedestrian appeared to be drinking and was not walking in a crosswalk, police said.
