• People evacuated after car fire started near building

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - In northwest Charlotte, people had to be evacuated from their homes after a car fire started next to an apartment building.

    The incident happened on Alabama Avenue near Brookshire Boulevard.

    Firefighters got it quickly under control and there was no damage to the building.
