CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Look no further than neighborhoods to the south of uptown Charlotte to see where most of Mecklenburg County's priciest home sales occurred in September.
Of the 10 residences in Mecklenburg County that carried the highest price tags at closing, all but one can be found in parts of Charlotte that are south of the Queen City's central business district. The exception was an 8,300-square-foot lakeside estate in Cornelius that sold for $2.45 million mid last month.
The county's highest overall home sale last month, however, can be found in Charlotte's affluent neighborhood of Myers Park.
